Bio

Music Director | Educator | Vocal Specialist

Alex Pollard is a seasoned music director and educator based in Orlando, Florida, with over a decade of experience leading exceptional musical theater and choral productions. He brings a dynamic blend of professional performance, educational excellence, and creative leadership to every project he joins.

Alex has served as Music Director for numerous highly acclaimed productions, most recently, Hairspray the Musical at the prestigious Dr. Phillips Center—and his work has consistently earned recognition through the Applause Awards.

As a lifelong performer and Orlando native, Alex has appeared in a variety of operas and musicals and has performed with Walt Disney World’s Festival of the Lion King and Voices of Liberty (Americana and Candlelight Processional). He is currently an active member and Bass Section Leader of the Orlando Symphonic Chorus, and sings with The Solaria Singers, a professional ensemble under the umbrella of Orlando Sings.

Alex holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Choral Music Education from The Florida State University. He currently serves as the Head Choir Director at Boone High School, where his ensembles consistently earn top ratings at district and state level evaluations and have performed at statewide choral conferences. In addition to directing student performers, Alex mentors emerging music educators and builds strong, collaborative creative teams.
